OTA: IID is a gold sponsor (advisory council) member of OTA. IID participates in OTA events regularly and works to increase the level of trust in online transactions. IID provides guidance on public policy, educational initiatives. IID also liaises with other organizations like APWG and M3AAWG to develop best practices.
M3AAWG: IID’s Vice President of Threat Intelligence Paul Ferguson is co-chair of M3AAWG’s technical committee. He helps determine programs from a technical perspective. IID is a MAAWG supporter. IID participates in discussions around public policy, education and best practices around Internet operations and abuse handling.
ICANN: IID President and CTO Rod Rasmussen and CISO Merike Kaeo are on ICANN’s Security and Stability Advisory Committee. They examine threats to the security and stability of the Internet and give advice to policy and operational issues. They participate widely in the bottom-up multi-stakeholder process that dictates policy for Internet governance in terms of making domain name and IP addresses use more transparent and accountable.
APWG: IID is a sponsoring member of APWG. IID works with the Anti-Phishing Working Group as a data provider to identify threats. IID’s President and CTO Rod Rasmussen co-authors the APWG’s Global Phishing Report.
Microsoft: For years, IID has regularly provided data to Microsoft, which protects users from phishing scams when using Internet Explorer, MSN, and Hotmail.
